Our Services
Development Projects
Deilen Resource Management supports development projects in the built environment and offshore renewable energy sectors.
For all such projects, our primary aim is to support our clients in achieving compliant and sustainable development in respect of waste and resource management. This includes advising on waste minimisation during development and maximising reuse and recycling of unavoidable wastes.
We also use our extensive decommissioning experience to bring valuable learnings to development projects, supporting teams to plan for the end at the beginning and aligning with circular economy principles. We work with design teams to consider the lifetime of developments, including how the design and construction methodologies will influence the ability to repair, remove, reuse and recycle the component parts of the development during its lifetime and at eventual decommissioning.
Decommissioning Projects
Deilen Resource Management supports decommissioning projects in the built environment and offshore energy sectors, with particular expertise in North Sea oil and gas decommissioning.
We understand that decommissioning is often outside the client’s “wheelhouse”. Deilen Resource Management supports decommissioning project teams to understand their roles and responsibilities for compliant waste management. This process is most effective if begun in the early design stages of the decommissioning project, enabling us to develop the project specific waste and resource management strategy and input into contract scopes of work ahead of the client tendering for its decommissioning contractor(s).
We can continue support throughout the duration of the decommissioning project via implementation of the waste and resource management strategy. This can include supporting the client’s application for required permits (including transfrontier shipment notifications), undertaking assurance assessments of prospective and instructed dismantling yards and waste management contractors, liaison with regulators, and waste and resource management reporting.
